Justin Vlaanderen joined us just over two years ago and has made a significant impact from the start.

Originally hailing from Colorado, Justin utilizes his passion and experience in financial planning to help his clients live their best lives.
Initially focusing on engineering, Justin quickly realized he was more interested in a way to help people directly. After taking a few finance courses and later pursuing financial planning, Justin found the perfect avenue to blend his knack for numbers with his genuine interest in enriching the lives of others.
Justin went on to earn his BBA from Colorado State University with concentrations in Investment Analysis/Financial Planning and Management. He later received his CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® certification.
After briefly crossing paths at a previous firm, Justin and Brian reconnected in 2023, and their brief meeting over coffee turned into a 2-hour discussion and ultimately led to Justin joining Painted Porch a few months later. Here, Justin feels he can utilize his expertise to distill complex problems into tangible solutions and ensure we align with the goals and aspirations of our clients.
Though Justin has grown up playing hockey, he’s now an avid golfer and has discovered his affinity for pickleball. He loves spending time with his wife, Megan, and their two dogs, Remi and Frank. On top of being an athlete, Justin is also a gifted artist focusing on oil painting and atmospheric landscapes.
Justin and Megan relocated from Denver to Santa Barbara in 2024 and Justin is playing a key role in our growing local Santa Barbara team!
