After graduating with a finance degree from the University of Oregon, Carson was navigating the typical post-grad grind, the applications, the interviews, and the specific brand of angst that comes with searching for a meaningful “first” opportunity. He wasn’t looking for a traditional finance role; he was looking for a firm that aligned with his values. He found Painted Porch on LinkedIn, and the message resonated. He made the call.
What started as a 30-minute screening with our Director of Operations, Dana, quickly evolved into a deep dive into life, values, and sports. For Carson, the specific job description became secondary to the team’s mission.
As an Associate Advisor, Carson’s day-to-day is intentionally diverse. His responsibilities range from technical portfolio rebalancing and financial plan updates to the vital work of client communication. His goal is simple: ensure our clients feel informed, supported, and secure as they make significant financial decisions.
Outside the office, Carson is leaning into the Pacific Northwest lifestyle. Based in Portland, he’s usually in the mountains or on a trail whenever the weather (or his schedule) allows. Staying active is a non-negotiable: whether it’s basketball, football, or just about any competitive sport, he’s always ready to jump in.
