We wanted our name to reflect how different we are from the standard wealth management company.

Over the span of history there have been many movements focused on how human beings could live a fulfilled, meaningful life. One such group originated in Greece during the 3rd century BC. They developed a philosophy centered on living an ethical life, thinking clearly about their actions and the impact on themselves and others, and how to find peace and fulfillment in a very intentional way. While the movement flourished for almost 600 years and included famous Greek figures like Marcus Aurelius, Seneca, and Epictetus, it started humbly at a place called “Stoa Poikile”…which, translated, means “Painted Porch” in English. We liked the story and the name just feels right.
