As we continue our Get to Know Our Team series, we’re thrilled to introduce Zach Philipp. Zach joined Porch in March 2021 and has been a cornerstone of our team ever since.

Zach began his career as an accountant at a large firm, and while the job provided stability, he yearned for something more engaging and meaningful on a personal level. That pursuit of purpose eventually brought him to Painted Porch, where he now works as an Associate Advisor, guiding clients through some of life’s most important financial choices. In April 2025, Zach became a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER®, advancing his mission to serve clients in the best way possible.

In his daily work, Zach thrives on solving problems. Whether it’s helping a client consider early retirement, planning for a major purchase, or simply answering urgent financial questions, he enjoys being a calm, thoughtful guide. Much of his work happens behind the scenes: monitoring financial plans, making adjustments, and ensuring every detail is aligned so clients can proceed with confidence.

For Zach, the most rewarding moments come when clients experience clarity. Sometimes it’s the result of deep financial analysis, other times, it’s a meaningful conversation about a big life decision. Either way, when a client feels empowered to confidently say “yes” to retirement, a new home, or a long-awaited trip, that’s what he considers a true breakthrough.

Outside of the office, Zach embraces a sense of adventure and balance. He loves to travel, recently venturing to destinations like Mexico and Spain. When he’s not exploring new places, you’ll likely find him cooking or enjoying the outdoors.

Zach’s favorite Painted Porch value is Grateful, a mindset he believes is both powerful and intentional. He appreciates being part of a team that actively chooses gratitude and fosters an environment where positivity and perspective are shared.

  • “I think it’s easy to be a glass-half-empty type of person, and to be grateful can be a choice you make for yourself.”

At his core, Zach is driven by a desire to make a meaningful impact, helping clients not just manage their finances but live fuller, more confident lives.
