As we continue our Get to Know Our Team series, we’re thrilled to introduce Brett Reeves. Brett joined Porch in October 2023 as an analyst and now helps the Operations team in a number of areas.
This is the perfect time to highlight Brett as we prepare for our team “offsite” in Santa Barbara next week. Brett plays an integral role in planning and hosting everyone in Santa Barbara.

Born and raised in Mountain View, California, Brett has always had a passion for learning about others and communicating with empathy and vulnerability.
“It always struck me that Painted Porch had so much more of a human component to it. So many of the interactions we had felt more like therapy sessions than financial discussions. With my background in psychology and a genuine interest in how to help people with their issues, I was a good fit for Porch and what we do here.”
After transitioning from a rewarding career in the wine industry, Brett found Painted Porch as a way to pursue what he loves while connecting with others. He thrives on the opportunity to listen to unique situations and solve problems—challenges he finds both fulfilling and fun. Having been a client first, Brett gained a unique perspective on the care Porch clients receive and witnessed firsthand the exceptional quality of work they deliver.
Today, Brett wears many hats in his role. As part of a small but growing team, he supports the hiring process, helps plan quarterly off-site events, and serves as a general “employee enthusiast.” His work touches many parts of the firm, helping both employees and clients feel supported and connected.
Outside the office, Brett loves spending time with his wife, son, and two doggies at home in Santa Barbara. He is a longtime musician who enjoys playing guitar and ukulele, and is an avid world traveler.
